One math concept could be is understanding measurement; the photo signifies how much winter precipitation will fall. You have to know the difference between inches and centimeters. If you think that it is centimeters, you are wrong because they do the snow predictions in inches.

You have to under stand that 6-9 means 6 to 9 inches of snow/ice.

You need to understand a range. If you didn't, it would look like a subtraction problem. You also need to understand the inches symbol to see how much accumulation there will be. Both of these can lead to very different ideas, like it would be feet or that you would get 3 inches in North Raleigh.

One math skill you should learn before examining this picture is knowing that 6"-9" six to nine inches instead of 6'-9' which means six to nine feet

One math concept is maybe how cold it will be weather it's a negative that can be really cold or a positive that can sometimes be cold or hot such as 90 is hot and 20 can be cold and -20 is really cold .

One thing you would need to know is inches because on the map it has different measurements. Another thing would be to be a meteorologist.

Probability is needed so you can tell how likely it is for it to snow. You also need to be able to calculate percentage to tell the chance of snow. Last you need to know things that involve inches or feet to tell how much is going to possibly fall.

The first math related thing could be measuring because it is using a " to show inches. Also you have to understand that it is the first number of inches to the second. That is the amount predicted to get of snow.

I think math is involved in weather because of measurement, like you have to know the difference between inches and Centimeters and feet. Also you have to know what negitive and positive

This shows how much snow is going to fall in inches, a weather map. What would help you to read this weather map would be the skills of understanding math, indirect measurements, and need to know how many miles apart would the places be like per square unit etc. You would need the skill of indirect measurements to know how big the places as re really apart from each other. When you understand math I mean like knowing inches, centimeters, and the difference between them.

You need to know the inches symbol ("). You also need to know what the dash means. It means between, for example, 3"-5", or between 3 and 5 inches. You also need to have a good understanding of how big an inch is.

You would need math to understand the scale, and how many inches of snow. Also you would need to know different forms of measurement and negatives and positives.

Some of the main of math concepts you would need to need this radar would be is probability due to the fact that to predict weather you use old records of weather to predict the new one and it is just chance like the chance of rain is 60%. Also measurements because you have to know what " this means because someone could could guess feet or centimeters. The final math concept could be indirect measurements because you would have to know the span of the rain storm because seven inches of it could be eight miles of it. In conclusion these are three are three mathematics concepts to help you read this radar.

The math that is used in this picture is , when you look at it trying to show you how much snow is going to fall or how much rain is going to fall. They used inches to measure how much is going to fall . When you read the map you need to know your NORTH. EAST. SOUTH. WEST to see where the snow is going to fall.

Some math used in the pictures are probability because that is a radar. It is also trying to show how much snow there is or going to be. Also, it says the compass.

For this picture you will need to know measurement as inches for 6" -9" is 6" to "9 inches of snow. Also probability cause you have to predict the percentage of precipitation.

When I looked at this picture I saw many examples of math, such as " means inches not feet. also you to understand negative and positive numbers, so you can be sure to know how much snow you will get.
