Majorie lee Browne was one of the first African women to teach mathmatics. She went to Howard University and University of Michigan for college and taught at Wiley College. She was born on September, 9, 1914 in Memphis TM and died on October, 9, 1979 in Durham NC.

Are you sure that is quite right... I went to five different websites for Marjorie Lee Browne and none of the say anything of her teaching at Wiley College... If I am wrong please excuse me and I am deeply sorry.

MajorIe Lee Browne was a early African American educator in math. She contributed to math by not only helping others pursue a higher education, but she also helped secondary math teachers in modern math, teaching mainly minorities and women. She also helped to get rid of stereotypes and prejudices in the field of math. She decided to eventually teach at North Carolina Central University.

Marjorie Lee Brown was an African American women who had an interest in mathematics. Therefor, she was one of the first african american women to teach math. She went to Howard and Michigan University and taught at Wiley. 1914-1979. She died in Durham.

Marjorie was one of the first African-American ladies to get a doctorate in mathematics. She got her alma mater at the University of Michigan. She eventually taught at North Carolina Central University. (She was born on September 9, my birthday)

Majorie lee Browne was a noted mathematics educator. She was one of the first African Americans who got there doctorate in mathematics. She attended Howard university, university of Michigan. In 1960 she saw the importance of computer science and wrote a $60,000 grant to IBM to bring a computer to NCCU. It was one of the first academic computingand the first at a historically black school.

Marjorie Lee Browne was one of theach first African American women to earn a doctorate in mathematics. She helped the math community by teaching African Americans after the civil war. She taught at North Carolina Central University.

She also had one of the highest degrees in the field of math. She also taught at the North Carolina Central University. In conclusion, this was Majoree Lee Brown.

Majorie Lee Brown was an accomplished and skilled mathematician. She graduated with a doctorate degree in mathematics at Howard University and got her MS degree at the University of Michigan. She taught math at universities in North Carolina, including North Carolina State University (NCSU). She taught lots of mathematically gifted students and gave them financial support. Overall, she was a great mathematician and a very important African-American and her contributions greatly impacted society and in a very positive way.
