We did integers in using them in everyday life. We also worked on combining like terms when their are variables. We completed some distrubitive property. We worked on some algerbraic expressions. And last we worked on exponents with distibutive property.

this week, we discussed the distributive property, integers, and a little bit of absolute value. in distributive property, we learned how to work with variables in the problem. With integers we went over different methods such as the hills and holes method. In absolute value, it was pretty much just review.

I used attend to precision when I went up to the board for homework I multiplied wrong doing 7x9 instead of 7x6 I didn't realize it until I sat back down then I corrected my mistake and we moved forward in the lesson.

In math this week we used the distributive property, integers, and absolute value. with integers we learned a few ways of finding them with hills, number lines, and dots. During the distributive property we learned how to put variables into the expression or equation. While we did absolute value which was just a review, you told us what it mean when there was a negative symbol on the outside of absolute value signs. You also gave us homework on adding and subtracting integers.

we did things like attending to precision, distributive property and how to use it, integers, absolute value, checked homework, and really just reviewed and went over everything

This week we reveiwed a little of what we did last week and went a little bit deeper espiclally with integers.I found that an integer is more than just any old number,it's mostly used in the real world even when we don't know it.We even learned new ways to solve problems with integers using multiplucation, addition, subtraction, and divison.Integers help us write equations in words for example: x plus 17= x+17.That's what we learned this week.

We talked about how integers are used in real life. One example is if you are at a store, you have to buy something that costs $40.00, and something else that is $5.00. You need to add them together to see how much you have to pay. We also used distributive property. We also worked on algebraic expressions.

Through out this week one of the mathematical practices that I have used was helping out a couple of classmates with the distributive property. They didn't really understand it so I told them that it's just like sharing with with everyone. An example would be this expression:

This week, we used models to help represent problems. For example, we used the coin model where we did different colored "coins" to represent negative and positive numbers. We also practiced using both numerical expressions and expressions that were written out. For example, you could have an expression written as "5 • 7" or you could have the same expression written as "the product of 5 and 7". There are a couple of other ways to write out that problem to, which we also went over in class this week.

This past week I learned about integers and absolute value. I learned that a number is always positive unless it has a - sign on the outside of the bars. I also learned that 0 is and integer. We also practiced in finding ways that we use integers in real life. Lastly I attended to precision and corrected a few of my classmates mistakes. (sorry for the late post I had no idea that we had one).

This week in class I have been using the absolute value for math. I first did a couple of math problems including integers with negatives and positives. I also did some other problems with the distributive property. Another would be combining like terms with integers. Finally I did integers order of operations too.

In math we learned about intergers, and absolute value. I learned more about negative and positive intergers and how we use them in the real world. I learned how to determine the absolute value of a negative number. I also learned how to solve problems using models such as number lines.
