Ivori, I am unable to solve the problem because I do not know the total number of tickets sold. Resubmit so you can earn additional points.

Will, the symbol ^ represents an exponent. For example, 5^3 is 125.

Tamaya, I love consecutive integer word problems, however you inadvertently forgot to type sum to let the reader know what operation was involved in the equation.

Jane paid $140 to rent a bounce house from Party Central. The flat fee for the bounce house is $50 plus $20 dollars per hour for every hour you have the bounce house. Since Jane had a coupon she got $10 off her price before $140. How many hours did Jane have the bounce house?

Grace, I love real world application problems. My only question, is do I deduct $10 from the flat fee or hourly rate? I am soloving your equation with the $10 applied to the flat fee, since that will give Jane the least amount of savings( because the company has to make a profit)

Ray, the Rhino eats 3 times as much as Lily, the giraffe. Oscar, the octopus eats 4 times less than lily. If they eat 430 kilograms of food per week altogether, how much food does each off them eat in a week.

I had $10. Then, I got some extra money for mowing the lawn on Friday, found a $20 bill on the ground, and got $10 more dollars for allowance. The next day, I won a contest and end up with double the amount of money I had before. If I now have $110, how much money did I get for mowing the lawn?
